Recreation Department

MISSION:

The purpose of the Fort Mojave Recreation Department is to provide the Tribal Community members with a safe enjoyable facility for their recreational needs. The guiding principle is to keep youth, adults and elders active in sports and exercise for a healthier lifestyle.

SERVICES AVAILABLE:

• After School Program  (3:30 pm-4:45 pm)
• Spring Break Program (9:00 am-4:45 pm)
• Summer Break Program (9:00 am-4:45 pm)
• Arizona Year Around School Program (9:00 am-4:45 pm)

The above Programs are for ages 7-17 years and include various activities such as:

1. Games
2. Cultural Arts & Crafts
3. Field Trips
4. Band Instrument Instruction (Collaborated with Fort Mojave Tribal Band)

• Adult Women (Mondays & Wednesdays: 6:30pm-8:30pm); Activities Include:
  1. Spinning
  2. Pilates
  3. Basketball
  4. Weight Room

• Adult Men & Women (Tuesdays & Thursdays: 5:30 pm-9:30 pm); Activities Include:
  1. Beginners Basketball Program
  2. Drills
  3. Scrimmages
  4. Advanced Open Gym
  5. Basketball
  6. Weight Room

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

Tribal & Non-Tribal Youth Program age requirement: 7-17 years of age

Adult Requirements: Open to all with a signed Waiver Release Form: ages 16 and up

All programs of the Fort Mojave Recreation Department require all participants to fill out a Waivers/Application.
